The question: Why can't a successful black woman find a man?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I copied the description above of a soon to air Nightline episode from the ABC website.
ABC News aired a Nightline segment this past December on the supposed plight of single Black professional women. The piece re-hashed the same old tired meme that educated Black women can't find a man. The segment caused many people in the blogisphere to comment.
This to me is nothing more than propaganda. If you look at the panel for this show above you can see that ABC News is not serious about this topic. Sherri Shepard, are you kidding me? She is a proud idiot. Jaque Reid used to be a journalist but now she's just a reality TV star. Steve Harvey is a joke. And Jimi Izrael is a Black woman hating goofball.
So my message to ABC is to just leave us alone. We can handle whatever problems we're having on our own. We don't need to be exploited by Disney for cheap ratings. We don't need this unfortunate meme about us not being able to find a man to continue. It's false and based on anecdotal evidence. Any continued coverage of this topic by ABC News just puts ABC in the same category with Fox News.
So thanks but no thanks ABC. We can take care of ourselves, we always have. And shame on you Vicky Mabrey.

Agree,why would we go to the folk who cause half of our problems on relationships for a solution?

@BigMac
"why would we go to the folk who cause half of our problems on relationships for a solution?"
Exactly!
These people (ABC) are just looking for easy ratings at our expense.
So my message to ABC is to just leave us alone.
Hahahahahaha. Too funny. But you definitely have a point.
I wonder what made them invite Steve Harvey to the panel? Probably his book. Interesting coverage.
@Don
Yeah it was that stupid book.
This black woman can't find a man thing is the new media obsession. Sherri Shepherd and Jacque Reid as spokeswomen?? Damn Damn Damn...Florida Evans...
@CO
The fact that they have those two on a so-called panel let's me know this is a total joke.
Any black woman who is willing to date across the color spectrum will have no trouble finding a man.
@?
I really don't think we are having problems en mass. I think it's mostly hype.
