Osas Ighodaro, Miss Black Connecticut USA, was crowned Miss Black USA this past week in Washington, D.C.
The new Miss Black USA holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Pennsylvania State University. She is also a Master of Fine Arts degree candidate at Pace University.
Miss Ighodaro will receive a gift package worth $20,000, which includes a scholarship to the New York School for Dramatic Arts.
