iPad?

I was considering getting a Kindle from Amazon.com. That is until I noticed that many of the authors I read are not available for Kindle. Mainly I read books by people of color and Amazon does not make many of those available for Kindle.

So as I consider Apple's new iPad (kind of a goofy name) I'm wondering if their selection of authors will be more diverse than Amazon's. If so and if the New York Daily News is available then I could def see paying $499 for one.

What are your first impressions of iPad?
