I think she was lost in a sea of female vocalists in the 80's that included Pebbles, Vanessa Williams, Janet Jackson, Jody Watley, Sade and many more.Interesting fact: Karyn was married (in 1992) to music producer Terry Lewis of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis fame. Jimmy and Terry produced most of Janet Jackson's best work as well as tons of other hit songs in the 80's and 90's. Karyn and Terry are now divorced.
Karyn now lives near Sacramento, California where she is a real estate agent and runs an interior design company. She's 44 years old.
