This is the Halle Berry Syndrome, where actresses of color only pair up with White men on screen. I suppose the filmmakers think that this will give the film broader appeal? Do the actresses think that doing this will lead to success ala Halle in Monster's Ball?

Well Jennifer Lopez has another film coming out this weekend where she plays a romantic lead opposite a White guy. The premise of the film is some nonsense about Jennifer's character being artificially inseminated and then after she becomes pregnant she meets the (White) man of her dreams.
