As a Puerto Rican, i am all for self-determination but if we are racial profiling RIGHT HERE, what are they going to do if PR becomes a state? Profile the whole island! Crazy

People are reacting to things without thinking about the long-term damage. Racial profiling is the lazy way of enforcing laws. And, as demographics change, like you mention, then what.

Lots of cities and groups are planning boycotts. And many public officials are against it. That's good. But, this new law is very popular amongst voters in Arizona. So I don't think the politicians there will back down. Hopefully though lawsuits will overturn this law.; April 29, 2010 at 6:03 PM

Most of the people who favor a more lax interpretation of the existing laws are those who don't own anything or those who are not harmed by immigrant workers lowering the pay rates in their field.; April 29, 2010 at 7:54 PM
