However, there is one very, very expensive thing I'd love to own or at least have access to. That is a Cessna Citation X private jet.
I love to travel but unfortunately the golden age of travel is over and we are left with the annoying age of travel. Flying is a nightmare. Between over-priced tickets, being subject to invasive searches and of course worrying that the person or persons who really need to be searched haven't been, flying just isn't what it once was.
That is why I dream of having a Cessna Citation X. Why this particular jet you ask? Well for one it is the fastest non-military passenger plane on earth. It has a cruise speed of 607 miles per hour. That's San Francisco to New York in just about 4 hours. Commercial flights take about 6 hours. That means I could make a day trip to N.Y and be back in my own bed that night!
Also I would love the luxury of it. Imagine the comfortable seats. Imagine being served from a menu of your choosing. Imagine not being surrounded by a bunch of annoyed and angry people.
This kind of travel doesn't come cheap though. The base price is about 22 million dollars. So the chances of me ever having one are pretty slim. But if I ever win the lottery Citation X here I come!

Wow Val! You really dream big!:) But I've heard that's the way to go, there should be no limits on dreams,so who knows...you are so right about traveling nowadays, just way too much hassle and fear!
@cactusrose
Lol, yep, that's one of my bigger dreams. Travelling used to be so much fun but now it's just a pain.
Looks like someones been reading the Robb Report.
@UBJ
Nope. Lol Actually I was watching a program on PBS about a historic airport in SoCal, Van Nuys Airport. Film director Sydney Pollack was on and he was talking about his Citation.
Yeah... most people go for a Gulfstream (more "snob appeal") not a Cessna - unless it is a Citation.
