There are also complaints that U.S. citizens are being given priority leaving Haiti while citizens of other countries are being made to wait days to leave forcing them to have to sleep on the tarmac.
So just who is running operations at Toussaint L'Ouverture International Airport? The United States that's who.
The U.S., the same people that brought you the Hurricane Katrina debacle. After the world saw The U.S. screw up the rescue operations after Katrina why are Americans being allowed the running of the Airport? This country has proved that when it comes to rescuing People of Color it does not give its best.
Why isn't France running operations? France has the closet ties to Haiti and of course the French speak the language. So shouldn't the U.S. step back and let France take the lead?

Just wanted to say that Dr. Jose Vargas Vidot, a compassionate man who has worked with the poor and HIV patients in PR, is calling all health professionals who want to join him to establish a hospital in Haiti, to be left in place for good. This is his Facebook page:
