The media is so racist that they don't even see the obvious contradiction in their reporting. On the one hand they are reporting that food and other needed supplies are not getting through to most of the Haitian people. And then in the next breath they accuse the Haitian people of looting.
So, if they are starving and lack even basic things like clothing what exactly are they supposed to do? Are they supposed to just sit and starve? Seems to me the Haitian people are doing what they have always done and that is survive.
The media has not learned a single lesson from their racist coverage of Hurricane Katrina where Whites who took from stores after the hurricane where seen as people trying to survive and Blacks seen as looters.
And shame on CBS reporter Byron Pitts (above) for going along with the looting narrative. I suppose holding on to that once a month appearance as a 60 Minutes correspondent is enough to make him say whatever they want him to say.

If I were in Haiti right about now I too would be a looting mofo.
If this were a friendly game of baseball I bet the media would own a mean slider. All that spin.
@Don
Yeah but you would be a 'trying to survive mofo'. Not a looting one.
Nice baseball metaphor.
It's been a week,
many people have limited help,
people have no jobs, no food, no clean water and many are losing hope.
Instead of waiting for an American savior - many are using what is readily availible.
Is it "looting" - sure is (but with extenuating circumstances).
@uglyblackjohn
I believe there's a thing called Natural Law. And during events like the one in Haiti that is the law. So I don't think that under Natural Law taking food when you're starving is looting.
