Mitrice RichardsonThere are reports this evening that what may be human remains have been found in a canyon near where Mitrice Richardson was last seen on September 17, 2009.
"Police investigators went to a remote area of Malibu Canyon on Monday afternoon after park rangers told L.A. County sheriff's officials that they'd found what appeared to be human remains.
Another news outlet reports that the remains were found only 5 miles from where Mitrice originally disappeared.
Mitrice was last seen on September 17, 2009 in the Lost Hills area of Malibu in Los Angeles County. Since then there have been many searches in that area to no avail. There have also been reported sightings of Mitrice in Las Vegas as recently as June. Los Angeles police were in Las Vegas in the last two weeks following leads there.
I'll be praying that the remains found earlier today are not Mitrice and that where ever she is she's alive and well. I'll update this story as information becomes available.

How sad! How very, very sad that she should have been a victim in that entire chain of events!
I hope it's not her, but if it is then at least her family will be able to give her a burial and perhaps may be able to find out the cause of death. My thoughts always were that she was murdered.
I guess women can't really go out in this society without a male escort huh? It seems it's just too dangerous out there!!!

Yeah if that is her than as you say at least her family can maybe find some peace. But I'm praying that it is not her. Hopefully there will be some word soon.
I felt my stomach go in knots after reading this.
I really don't know what to think, but if the bones aren't hers, then the family at least will have some hope that she may still be alive.

So far there's no word yet from the coroner. I am praying it's not Mitrice.
