I like his rap song. In a very general sense, I would advise young Black people not to get their values from Rap, or from commercial music of any kind.
Don't try to live the life and values that rappers often sing about, or you may turn into no more than a tragic and laughable relic of your former self.
Ha! This joint is a classic. Brooklyn stand up! You couldn't escape this song back in the day. Chubb Rock still has a successful touring career because of this jam.

Having a VMFM (Very Memorable Flashback Moment) up in hurr: Walking down 7th Avenue watching Black & Latino school kids doing a crazy-fly dance called "The Jerry Lewis" to this joint which was blasting loudly from a beatbox or the corner.
Jason is correct. This jam was errrrrrwhere back in the day. & that video reminds me of a time when club life, dancing & rap music was all about having BIG fun.

I don't think this particular song is harmful In fact there were loads of hip hop songs that were not only not harmful back then but very uplifting.

I don't think this kind of vibe is coming back. Not in general anyway. I think this kind of hip hop is a thing of the past.
