When I first saw this photo of Zoë Kravitz' rocker dad Lenny I thought, WTF. But then after giving his clothing choices more thought I had a different reaction. I thought that is really cool that he is so comfortable in his own skin that he wears what he wants to wear without worrying what others will think.
We all should be so well adjusted that we could live our lives sans worry about what others are thinking. I mean he's not doing anything wrong. He's not bothering anyone nor breaking any laws. He's just wearing clothing that one might assume only a woman would wear. So what's the problem with that? Nothing I say as long as he feels comfortable.
Now if he would just grow his cool 'fro back.

Lenny Kravitz' dad has a right to look freaky if he wants. But I think those high-heeled clogs are incredibly impractical for women who want to walk straight and run if necessary, and I think they're just as impractical for Kravitz.
I hope he finds a way to dress however he wants, but still be able to walk straight, without ruining his feet, ankles, knees, back and who knows what all else.
Emulate women who demonstrate that they can walk well and are psychologically as well as PHYSICALLY comfortable in their shoes.
Rock stars tend to have this funky-free reign on what they wear. The more anti-establishment, the more cosmically asexual, the better, & they will rock their ish so bold and outrageously, no matter how strange/off-the-wall (to we civilians) & no matter what others might say. I noticed this way back when, beginning w/ Sly (& The Family Stone) & then w/ George Clinton & dem. Have to say, I admire that funkified strain of boldness. However, w/ that being established: Personally, I'm not feelin' dem BOOTS, yo! But g'on do YOU, Lenny!
On anotha note: I truly dig how you never fail to step up & school, educate, correct, debate & sometimes read others w/ your common sense & Realness, Val. I admire that quality in YOU even more than ANY rock star's boldness!
Enjoy your weekend, my Sista.
One.
When I saw this pic I thought. That is Lenny f*ckin Kravitz and icons can wear whatever they want!
Lenny has always moved to the beat of his own rhythm. This is just Lenny being Lenny IMO.
I'm still saying "WTF".
Man if we had the Internet in the 80's I'd be in trouble.
I wore kilts, cropped pants with espidriles and long shirts, pants make from curtains from the Goodwill, ...
After a while, people just came to expect some different.
@Francis
Lol, yeah his feet might have been crying after a few hours in those.
@Lin
That's true about rock stars. They def buck established norms. And that's a good thing.
@Jason
That's true about Lenny. After all he used to be Romeo Blue!
@Reggie

@Beauty and Health Editor
I think he looks a little odd because of the way he's standing in the photo. Lol
