I saw the film La Mission last night and I enjoyed it. The film stars Benjamin Bratt (Law & Order) and also Erika Alexander (The Cosby Show, Living Single). I won't go into the plot so as not to spoil it but I will say that the film is ultimately about standing your ground and dealing with the consequences of standing your ground.
Erika Alexander plays a key role in the film and does a great job. Ben Bratt is also very good in the lead role. So if you are looking for an interesting film, that's not in 3D, this is a good choice. Oh and the film was set in San Francisco. Which was cool since I live in the San Francisco area.

This movie is on my list to see,but I'll wait until I can see it on pay per view,I'm just too cheap to pay $10.00 to see it at this time.
@BigMac
Lol, yeah to see a film in a theater is a costly experience. I generally get my films from the flea market.
When you see this film let me know what you thought of it.
Lol! My daughter also gets CDs in the flea markets. I'm going to try to see this film.
@cactusrose
The flea market has the best deals! :-)
It looks interesting but there is no Cineplex Odeon or Laemmle Theatre where I currently live so I guess I'll have to wait for the DVD.
I will remember next time I purchase am online purchasing DVDs. Sounds like an interesting film.
Thanks for sharing.

Wow, life in the boonies is hard. Lol I'm kidding! Seriously, this is a good film so check it out when you can.
@Don
Yeah this film is different from the stuff Hollywood usually gives us. I really enjoyed seeing Erika Alexander too.
@ Val - You have no idea.
Even when I go to Houston there are still some pretty slim pickin's.
My best option is to cram as many movies as possible into my trips to Dallas.
Also - If you think racism is bad between Blacks and whites in the South it is much worse here between Blacks and Hispanics.
