So a lot of people are upset that The Commonwealth of Virginia's Republican Governor James F. McDonnell declared April Confederate History Month in the state. I get why people like the NAACP are upset but what gets me about the celebration of the Confederacy is that they are celebrating treason and being losers.
The Confederate states went to war with the United States, right? Isn't it treason trying to destroy your own nation? And the Confederates lost the war, right? So, that means they are LOSERS. Again, I'm wondering why anyone would want to celebrate because their ancestors were traitors and because they were also losers.
Anyway, it's hard to believe that in 2010 some White people are still clinging to the Confederacy. And that a sitting Governor would declare such a thing as Confederate History Month.
Just another example of the more things change the more they stay the same I guess.
