I tried to watch a little of the Olympic opening ceremony coverage last night but I felt I was going to lapse into a coma. NBC's coverage is unbelievably bad.
And what's up with NBC pretending stuff is live when it's not. The Opening Ceremonies came on at almost 9pm pacific time here in California. The Olympics are in Vancouver, which is also pacific time. So they scheduled the opening so it would be seen on the east coast of the U.S. and Canada at almost midnight? No, NBC showed the opening live on the east coast and then pretended it was showing it live on the west coast. By the time it was shown on the west coast it had already ended. NBC should really stop with the lies.

Maybe it's because I'm not a "snow guy"? Maybe it's because as a kid growing up in upstate New York I was the one kid that usually left his sled in the garage and preferred not to make snowmen? Maybe it's because I thought that the prospect of a warm cup of hot cocoa was a better alternative than putting on snow boots and a parka and a skullcap just to go outside?
Or maybe I'm just sane? I'm just not a fan of the winter Olympics, I just don't get the appeal.
@Reggie
I actually liked the winter Olympics when I was a kid. But now as an adult they are seriously boring.
I think it's NBC that makes them boring though. They don't explain the sports enough for one. They spend too much time on sappy back-stories and also as I said they lie about live coverage.
I went to a fight once and a hockey game broke out.
I'm not feeling the winter thing.
It would be more interesting to me if the competitors played Scrabble.
