The media is so racist that they don't even see the obvious contradiction in their reporting. On the one hand they are reporting that food and other needed supplies are not getting through to most of the Haitian people. And then in the next breath they accuse the Haitian people of looting.
So, if they are starving and lack even basic things like clothing what exactly are they supposed to do? Are they supposed to just sit and starve? Seems to me the Haitian people are doing what they have always done and that is survive.
The media has not learned a single lesson from their racist coverage of Hurricane Katrina where Whites who took from stores after the hurricane where seen as people trying to survive and Blacks seen as looters.
And shame on CBS reporter Byron Pitts (above) for going along with the looting narrative. I suppose holding on to that once a month appearance as a 60 Minutes correspondent is enough to make him say whatever they want him to say.
